Yahoo Finance Apps Revamped With a More Personal Touch
After overhauling its Yahoo Mail app and flagship news app earlier this year, Yahoo is finally taking aim at its Finance app.
The Yahoo Finance app for iPhone and iPad received a significant redesign Wednesday, which lets users customize their news feed by choosing which companies they want to follow. The overhauled apps also includes improved navigation features and more interactive charts to visualize stock price changes over time.

"The Yahoo Finance app for iPhone and iPad was reimagined to deliver a beautiful personalized experience with a stream of top news and data based on your favorite stocks and interests," Alex Diaz, VP of mobile and emerging products at Yahoo, wrote in a Tumblr post.
A rep for Yahoo told Mashable that a redesign is in the works for the Yahoo Finance website, but doesn't have a set release date. "The launch timing of our Yahoo Finance web experience has been delayed," the rep said.
Sources first told Mashable in July that Yahoo was at work on a major revamp of the Yahoo Finance app as part of a renewed focus on mobile.
Under CEO Marissa Mayer, Yahoo has acquired more than 20 startups largely to bring on their mobile engineering talent, presumably with hopes of boosting user numbers and engagement, which in turn may pave the way for greater mobile advertising revenues.
